All eyes are back to the present

80% of the events are still scheduled in the venue’s portfolio

The Valencia Conference Centre has already made preparations to restart its activities programmed for the second half of the year. The team is currently working on the organisation of the events, which can be held with 75% of their capacity, following the Regional Government’s approval of the measures required under the 'new normality’ in the Valencian Region.

Thanks to the team's optimism and close relationships with its strategic allies, suppliers and customers, who have continued to place their trust in us since the onset of the pandemic, 80% of the events that had been scheduled before the COVID-19 outbreak will still be taking place. These events have been moved to the last quarter of this year and to 2021 in particular. This means that, if circumstances do not change, we have a very positive portfolio for next year, with similar figures to 2019, when some 100,000 overnight stays were recorded in the city. In addition, the Centre has won several new bids, which will generate 47,897 new overnight stays in the city.

The Centre is ready in terms of safety and innovation

Over the last few months, the Conference Centre team has been working on getting the building ready for the 'new normality'. Here's how:

We have implemented the health and hygiene measures and the general recommendations established by the authorities and industry associations to ensure the safety of delegates, such as the provision of hand sanitiser dispensers, an increase in the number of cleaning staff, additional cleaning throughout the building, and the signposting of people flows as well as the provision of an isolation area for potential COVID-19 cases.

The building has been updated with the latest technology on the market to develop new innovation projects that enable us to host "hybrid" events, adding up to 10,000 virtual participants to the delegates physically present at the venue; the creation of an interconnected congress space to hold large meetings of more than 3,000 people whilst maintaining social distancing; offering organisers customised presentations, providing visual technology, animation and 3D features, and enabling personalised experiences of their meetings to be shown before they actually take place, and creating spectacular staging options by adding powerful lighting equipment and 3D projection mapping designed and built for this purpose to the current infrastructures.

See you soon!
