Five reasons to come to the Valencia Conference Centre

If you’re not sure which way to tip the scales, we can give you five compelling reasons to choose our venue for your meeting. The Valencia Conference Centre has numerous distinctive features which make it totally unique in a highly competitive environment. These are just a few of them:

  1. Because it is a flagship building

With an avant-garde design and sustainable architecture which enhances Valencia’s light and Mediterranean climate, Norman Foster created a versatile venue in which appearance is perfectly balanced with usability. In 1999, it was named as Best European Building by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

  1. Because of its state-of-the-art technology

The event tourism market has progressed rapidly due to factors such as changing trends in event organisation and the digital and technological revolution. As a result, the Centre has renewed the technological equipment in all its rooms to deliver facilities which fit its customers’ needs like a glove and exceed their expectations.

The main technological innovations added to the venue include LED stage lighting, Wi-Fi for over 3,000 devices, new data connections throughout the building via a fibre optic network and outlets with CAT 6 cabling (1Gb), laser and DLP technology projection up to 30,000 lumens and Line Array electro-acoustic systems in its main auditoria.

  1. Because of its professional team

With a 20-year track record and experience of holding over 2,700 events, the Centre has a comprehensive team of specialists on hand who will mentor you through all the stages of your event, helping you plan for it and providing all those tiny details which ensure it is a resounding success. That’s why our staff are always rated highly in customer satisfaction surveys, a fact which has led the venue to win accolades such as the World’s Best Convention Centre award presented by the International Association of Congress Centres in 2010.

  1. Because of its accessibility and broad range of nearby hotels

The Centre has an unbeatable location on the main northwest approach road into the city. It is seven minutes from the Valencia-Manises international airport and eight minutes from the city centre and the high-speed train station.

There are also 1,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of the venue. They provide a core setting for large-scale events when the Centre’s rooms expand to provide 47 simultaneous work spaces, 18 of which can accommodate over 150 people.

  1. Because of its ecological commitment

As part of the Centre’s ECO sustainability project, all of its staff run schemes to guarantee responsible resource management and to reduce the environmental impact of its operations so as to ensure that event tourism is compatible with respect for the environment. The building’s photovoltaic roof, which has already generated over 2.5 million kWh, is the culmination of this sustainability plan.
