This partnership promotes travelling to Valencia by train
The Valencia Conference Centre has strengthened its ties with Renfe, thanks to the signing of the renewed cooperation agreement between the two organisations, which began in 2010. The agreement has a clear purpose: to promote Valencia as a tourist and business destination, using the train as a preferred means of transport.
Thanks to this agreement, groups of people attending events held at the Valencia Conference Centre will be eligible for a discount on all high-speed and long-distance trains and in all classes on national routes. This will encourage congress attendees to travel to the city by train. The agreement was signed by Francisco Arteaga, Director of Renfe's High-speed & Long-distance Business Area, and Sylvia Andrés, Managing Director of the Valencia Conference Centre.
In the words of Francisco Arteaga, "the renewal of the agreement is an opportunity to continue to grow and demonstrate that high-speed and long-distance services are an effective solution and alternative to the mobility needs of congress participants travelling to Valencia".
In the opinion of Sylvia Andrés, "the renewal of this agreement is indicative of the willingness of the two organisations to promote MICE tourism. We would like to thank Renfe once again for placing its trust in the Valencia Conference Centre and encouraging the use of rail transport for meeting tourism, as it is one of the most efficient and sustainable options for the MICE industry".
Under this agreement, the two organisations can include and arrange other relevant promotional activities that may be of mutual interest to boost the promotion of the city and the province of Valencia as a MICE destination.
In turn, Renfe Viajeros will be able to publicise the fact that it is an official transport partner for events held at the Valencia Conference Centre in its communication channels, i.e. in the press, and on the radio, television and Internet.
