The Conference Centre celebrates its 19th anniversary following its refurbishment and is upbeat about the future

The Valencia Conference Centre opened its doors on 2nd July 1998 tasked with working for Valencia and Valencians by attracting conferences and conventions to the city. It has comprehensively delivered on this task as over these 19 years it has hosted 2,700 events that have pulled in 1,900,000 visitors, which in turn has meant 1,983,000 overnight stays in the city.

The Valencia Conference Centre obtained profits of 679,299 euros in 2016

During the board meeting held today, the Valencia Conference Centre’s Board of Directors approved the venue's annual accounts for 2016. According to the figures presented in its management report, the Conference Centre's EBITDA was €985,335 and its net profit was €679,298.63. The year also brought with it a 10% reduction in overheads, which went down by €250,000.

The world´s leading pediatric diabetes congress is held in Spain for the first time

From 26th to 29th October, the Valencia Conference Centre will be hosting the 42nd Annual Conference of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), the world’s leading international event in this specialist subject, which will bring an economic impact of over €2.2 million to the city of Valencia.

The Valencia Conference Centre celebrates its coming of age with an economic impact of a billion euros

On 2nd July, Norman Foster's emblematic building will be celebrating its 18th birthday. Since its opening, the Centre has boosted event tourism in the city, attracting and hosting over 2,500 events and welcoming more than 1.75 million visitors. As a result, the Centre has generated 1.9 million overnight stays and an economic impact for the city of €1 billion, a figure which is more than 33 times the cost of its construction.
