Our SDG projects

We have strengthened our environmental commitment by aligning all our actions with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to:

  • Ensure access to affordable, non-polluting energy.
  • Help Valencia move forward in its smart city strategy.
  • Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
  • Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns and invest in infrastructure to achieve sustainable development.

Our SDG project

Has stepped up these actions by seeking out proposals to offset or reduce the impact generated by our activities and through ongoing communication with our target audiences.

Good practice guides

With this idea in mind, we have drawn up our Good Practice Guides which are designed to raise awareness among organisers, suppliers, staff and delegates about the importance of ensuring their activities are conducted in line with sustainability and environmental protection principles while sharing the building’s responsibility to safeguard the environment.

The Time Capsule

With the aim of contributing to Valencia's strategy as an international benchmark in sustainable tourism, we have buried in our garden a time capsule made with recycled glass, inside which are kept the messages and sustainable commitments of our ambassadors, strategic partners, the general public and the Conference Centre team. The messages, sent through an online form, are stored in a virtual file, with a QR that has been closed in the time capsule. In 2030, which is when the United Nations 2030 Agenda culminates, the capsule will be removed, and the sustainable messages will be revealed.
